Terms & Conditions

Draft website terms for SMAfrica. Final legal review remains the responsibility of SMAfrica.

By accessing or using the SMAfrica website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Purpose of the site

This website provides information about SMAfrica’s programs, impact, partnerships, careers, volunteering, media, and related engagement opportunities. Content is for general information and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

No medical advice

Program descriptions (including Digital Mobile Clinics and Digital Consultation Unit) explain organizational services. Individual clinical decisions remain between patients, facilitators, and licensed clinicians. Do not rely on website content as a substitute for professional care.

Acceptable use

  • Provide accurate information in forms and applications.
  • Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape aggressively, or submit spam/malware.
  • Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing materials.

Accounts and volunteer portal

If you create a volunteer or staff account, you are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account. SMAfrica may suspend access to protect systems, users, or program integrity.

Partnerships and contributions

Partnership and contribution interest forms are invitations to conversation, not binding contracts. Online donations, if offered later, will be governed by additional notices. Until then, contribution interest is routed for human follow-up via partnerships channels.

Intellectual property

Site text, branding, logos, and media are owned by SMAfrica or licensors. You may share links and publicly available materials for non-commercial attribution unless we state otherwise. Do not remove trademarks or imply endorsement without written permission.

Third-party services

The site may embed or link to third-party tools (for example maps, dashboards, or email infrastructure). Those services have their own terms and privacy practices.

Disclaimer and limitation

The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMAfrica disclaims warranties of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from site use.

Governing framework

These terms are interpreted in light of SMAfrica’s organizational governance and applicable law. Disputes should first be raised with partnerships@smafrica.org or info@smafrica.org.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
